Holiday Festivities!!

So the holiday's have come and gone! Christmas definitely came quickly and definitely went by fast. It was our first Christmas as a married couple and our last one with out a little one!

Christmas Eve we went over to Kelly's uncle's house and celebrated with his family for a little. We did secret santa stealing game and ate a bunch of food! Was definitely a good time!

After Kelly's uncle's, we came home and met up with my mom and went to midnight mass. I was definitely way too tired to go, but I'm happy I went :) It was just the three of us. Both our dad's weren't feeling well and Jonathan didn't come home til 2:30am!! Happy he came though :)

Christmas Day, we woke up and opened presents (the best part)! I got grey uggs from the hubby, clothes and Eclipse from the parents (and some other stuff), and a computer case from the brother...which unfortunately doesn't fit :( That's what gift receipts are for though :)

After presents, we went over to my uncle's, had lunch and opened more presents. My aunt got me a REALLY cute wristlet from Coach and money from the grandparents.  Can't get better than that!! We went to Kelly's dad's for dinner, and enjoyed a delicious ham.

Family friend's came into town the week after Christmas, and we had a FULL house!! It was a lot of fun having all the company though. I ended up working late every night, so I feel like I didn't get to spend much time with them, but just having them here was nice.

New Years Eve was definitely a fun one. We got to hang out with Kris, one of Kelly's best friends, who is home for the holidays from Iraq. Unfortunately, he has to go back in a week, but he's always in our prayers. We hung out with him and his wife and our other best friends, Jonathan got to spend it with us too, and so did Brian and Brooke. It was a lot of fun -- even though I didn't drink this year, and was the DD -- but regardless, I actually had a great time. Wasn't too crazy this year. Brought in the New Year just right, with a kiss from my hubby and good people to celebrate it with!

Sunday, we celebrated the baptism of Kris and Natania's baby Chloe, and she was just absolutely adorable!! Not one tear, and all smiles. She's so adorable!

2011 is definitely going to be a good year! We will be welcoming Gianna into the world in 8 weeks, and I couldn't be more excited to see and hold her!! 2011 is going to be different, but for the better!

Love my life and my family. I couldn't be more blessed!

Took the cat's to get spayed!!

This morning, I had to get up by 4:30 am to take the cats to get spayed today. Mother instincts definitely kicked in and I'm so uncomfortable about it, but it is something that definitely needed to get done. With my whole fiasco that happened last week with me trying to get Bella spayed, taking them (Bella and Coco) today felt a little bit of relief. Although I didn't get much sleep because all I could think about was how much the cats are going to hate me after today, they are off and probably already had their surgeries!

Bella was a pain this morning trying to get her in her cage. She absolutely hates that thing and she knows she doesn't go anywhere nice when I put her in it. Took my mom and I about 15-20 minutes to catch her from hiding and put her in it. When we got to the shelter, there were a lot of other people bringing their cat's there to get spayed/neutered and it made me feel a little bit better that my cats aren't the only scardy cats! Poor Bella though, got a 'caution' sticker put on her cage because she is not very friendly when it comes to strangers, especially when I'm not around! Sorry baby girl!

I can't wait to pick them up tomorrow at 7am, and again, I probably won't be able to sleep again because the house will be very different tonight without them :( Oh well!

This week is the last week of classes, thank goodness! But it's definitely not going to be an easy one. I can't wait for this semester to be over, then I can really start to focus on my baby shower and the holidays :)

Thanksgiving Weekend!

What's better than hanging out with the people you love most, family, and grubbing out until you can't eat anymore?? That's right, nothing! :) Thanksgiving weekend couldn't have been any better, and to add on top of that, it was Kelly and I's first MARRIED Thanksgiving together! It was the first time we spent time with both of our families and got to experience Thanksgiving dinner with different families. It was a ton of fun! Got to have fried turkey, which I must say, was absolutely delicious!!

This year I thought about tackling Black Friday, but I figured since I really don't have much money, I probably shouldn't go out in the crazy crowd and spend the money I don't have! It was probably a good thing because Kelly ended up getting sick Friday afternoon. Horrible stomach pains and was in a lot of pain. It was most likely from over eating from Thursday, lol :)

Saturday he felt better, and we went to the gym was a much needed workout! After, we spent another Thanksgiving dinner with my cousin's from the mom's side and it was a lot of fun! Got to hang out with cousin's we don't see often, and eat more! We played Wii with the little kids and got whooped by a 10, 8, and 5 year old. lol it was fun!
Kel and I at the Cousins.

Now it's back to work and class, and this is going to be hell week! 2 more weeks of classes, but a bunch of projects/presentations, papers, and quizzes! NO FUN!

Great Weekend!

This weekend went by really fast, as do all of my weekends. Started off by having a nice relaxing Spa Pedicure with Anna Friday night which was much needed. Ended up getting dinner after at a good Italian pizza/pasta/sub place, where we then gorged ourselves after with the biggest piece of NY Cheesecake I had ever had or seen. Came home after and had a relaxing night with the hubby.

Saturday, went to the mall with Jessica to help her find a dress for her rehearsal dinner for her wedding...which is just around the corner I may add! Didn't have any luck for what she had in mind, but I had a nice successful shopping day for myself :) Came home and cleaned up a little bit and then headed out for the night with Kelly and some friends to watch the UFC. BJ Penn won by a knock out against Matt Hughes in the first 30 seconds of the first round, and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson won by decision against Lyoto Machida, whom I wasn't cheering for, but a close fight.

Gianna got her first onsie today, who daddy will be very proud for her to wear :) Thank you Jessica!

To top the weekend off, ate sausage gravy at Kelly's dads, which I love every time! And the Redskins won their game today, which I couldn't be more happy about!! Also, went to Klines today in Manassas, the last day they were open and got out last Klines fix of the season before March!!

Overall, GREAT weekend!!

It's just the beginning.

So, I’ve gave in. I started to start a blog to keep family and friends updated with our new life! We are at the happiest time in our lives right now; newlyweds and expecting a baby girl in March. It’s funny how fast someone’s life can change, for the better or for the worse, but for use it’s definitely better! Planning the wedding was very stressful, but it couldn’t have turned out to be any more perfect. The honeymoon was perfect and relaxing, and then finding out that our baby, is going to be a girl, has put the icing on the cake! We have thought of a name, we are going with Gianna, but we (or shall I say, me) are still struggling to get the perfect middle name for her.

This is just the beginning of many more posts to come, but I feel that I needed to get my foot in the door and start our first post. We hope this will keep you guys updated with our little life that has just begun, because the people we love most, we want you all to be a part of it!
